Biking for Kids in India 
Donations
This fund-raising effort is aimed at raising funds to help poor children in rural villages of India to attend Methodist schools in the Hyderabad Conference in India. Gifts are welcome from people of all faiths and nations who wish to join this humanitarian effort. Please note that 100% of donations go to India for the scholarship program. None is used for defraying any costs of Lauren's bicycle trip. Nor does any portion go to pay administrative costs for the Methodist Board of Global Ministries, which covers such costs through separate donations. All goes to India! Note also that a Scholarship Committee under leadership of A. V. Samuel and his wife, Sucharitha, has been formed to select recipients of aid and assure proper use of funds.
To Make a Donation from the U. S.
With apologies for a bit of complexity, we're asking donors to follow a two-step process:
1. Lauren
Brown will not personally be handling the donations. Donations should be made through The Advance
at The United Methodist Church General Board of Global Ministries (see step #
2). (This assures you will receive an official receipt and tax deduction for your donation.) However, Lauren would like to thank
you for your donation and stay in touch with you while he bicycles across the
country and keep you informed about the progress of this project. So please fill out the form at the very
bottom of this page. This form will be

2. There are four ways for you to make a donation.
a. If you are a member of a Methodist Church you can simply write a check to your church and make a notation on the memo line that the donation is for Advance Special Project # 3021179 - HRC MCI Methodist Dormitories. Your church will be able to forward to the Board of Global Ministries.
b. If you wish to send in your check yourself, then make out the check to General Board of Global Ministries, and make a notation on the memo line that the donation is for Advance Special Project # 3021179 - HRC MCI Methodist Dormitories. Send to this address:

c. To make your donation using your credit card then go through The Advance Website by hovering your pointer over the blue font phrase "Make a Donation Today" just below and clicking. This link will take you to the Board of Global Ministries website for this project. Just follows the directions on that website.

Donation Levels are keyed to $250 annual scholarship needed to have a village child stay at a school dormitory for one school year, providing that child with room, board, two uniforms, books, paper, and pens.

2. The Bishop M. V. Khristi Gift: $1500 (6 scholarships)
3. The Reverend K. V. Manuel Gift: $1000 (4 scholarships)
4. The Reverend B. D. Paul Gift: $750 (3 scholarships)
5. Reverend William R. Moon $500 (2 scholarships)
6. Reverend T. Swamidas $250 (1 scholarship)
7. Miss Josephine Kriz $100 ( 4 months)
8. Mr. M. Joseph $50 (2 months)
9. Reverend James Lynch $25 (1 month)
10. Other: Gifts of any size, greater or smaller than any of the above levels, are welcomed and will make a difference. (You may request to keep either or both your name and the amount of your donation confidential)
